Hello, my name is Ray.  I have ALS (aka Lou Gerhig's Disease).  I am a survivor with ALS since 1994.  My deterioration began with slight weakness in my arms.  The legs & vocal muscles aggressively deteriorated during the 2nd to 5th years.  During the 6th to 12th years, my legs got progressively weaker, evidenced by going from a cain to a walker inside of a year; to a wheel chair (which I fully resisted as long as possible) within 5 years; to developing & adapting to modes of transfer, which at first were relatively easy, to later becoming more challenging, my current status.  
I determined from the beginning, "I'll never give up!  I'll survive until a cure is formulated!"  Could you help support my cause by going to the ALSA.org LINK above, review the site, determine if you can become a warrior for this cause?  Thank you in advance for your help.    Ray
