Cleaning Hints

Do not use Clorox Clean Up or Simple Green on any floors with a finish.  These products are capable of stripping surface.  Instead use Armstrong Floor Cleaning Products, or more organic products such as vinegar & water, baking soda for tough areas, or Borax mixed in warm water.




Do not use cleaning chemicals of any kind inside your microwave!  If any residue of the cleaner is left inside the microwave oven, could have a negative reaction with the microwaves, or it could get inside your food & beverages that you put in the microwave.  Instead use hot water, if need be, heat it in the microwave, to allow moisture to attach itself to the food particles & loosen the soiled microwave.  Repeat as necessary. For a fresh scent, add a slice of lemon or lime to a bowl of water to heat in microwave for cleaning.



When you clean your windows, plan to do so on a cloudy day; or when the sun is not shining directly on the window.  Cleaning with the sun beaming through the window will cause the cleaner to dry too fast, thus causing those unwanted streaks.
